The Joys of Work (aka Proof My Boss Hates Me) & Why Spoilers Sometimes Suck

OK, first off, let me list the four reasons why I'm pretty sure that my boss hates me:

1. Close Tuesday.

2. Open Wednesday.

3. Close Thursday.

4. Open Friday.

Now, I realize this may sound selfish, but I REALLY like sleep, and this schedule means that I (being the type of person that finds it impossible to fall asleep before 3-4AM, and if I try to will end up pondering the great mysteries of the universe, like trying to figure out how the hell Jell-O works) will only be getting 4-5 hours of sleep on two of those days, both plagued by me waking up every hour to make sure I didn't oversleep. Even in my sleep I'm paranoid. Heh. But anyway, my boss knows this, and she schedules me for two close/opens, which make me stay up even LATER to unwind from working. Which is why I consider it proof that she hates me, LOL. Or maybe I'm just overly sensitive.....Nah.

While I'm talking about work, I had a customer come in and buy $50 worth of stickers for her daughter because tomorrow the daughter has to wear something that has 100 of something on it. Now, maybe I'm just cheap (Who? Me? LOL) but if my daughter (if I had one, LOL) had a project like that, screw stickers. Give me a $10 white t-shirt and a sharpie, LOL. "Here sweetie, it's a shirt with 100 tally marks." Heh. (On a side note, I want to know what the hell kind of school assignment that is. We didn't have to do that when I was in 1-2 grade. Sounds odd.)

Onto why spoilers sometimes suck. Um, SPOILER WARNING! (Duh!) My fave character from my fave show (Sharon from Battlestar Galactica) has had a rough year. All kinds of crap has happened to her, to the point where I've felt the need to take Prozac prior to watching this damn show. Needless to say, I'd appreciate it if something, you know, NICE would happen to her every now and then? But NOO! I get a spoiler saying she and her boyfriend, Helo, have a 'falling out'. (In quotes 'cause the spoiler person put them in there, and I have no clue what that means, LOL). Now, in any circumstance I'd be bummed (I'm still miffed that Angel left Buffy, LOL, and I thought Dark Angel's Max shoulda been with Zack...but I digress), but for a character who's been beaten, raped, almost miscarried, almost had her pregnancy forcibly aborted, was almost sent somewhere for the sole purpose of having her killed, has been imprisoned and not allowed to touch said boyfriend (who she defected for) and was lied to and told that her baby was dead (which leads me to Roslin Must Die! and so should Adama, which I will elaborate upon later, LOL) would it KILL the people in charge (namely Ron Moore) to have just one teensy weensy little morsel of happiness, for her and her fans before we all have to check into mental wards? I sometimes wonder if watching this stupid show is worth the stress, and just surfing the message boards to see if anything good happens, and if it does, watch the repeat or wait for the DVD. But then I realize that I don't have that kind of willpower and will watch the show as long as Grace Park is in it, LOL.

OK, I'll shut up now, LOL. I have to go to sleep to wake up at freakin' 8AM. But seeing as how I won't be able to sleep for another 2-3 hours in all likely hood, I think I'm just gonna watch Rent again, LOL. (starts humming No Day But Today and really annoys family members.) No day but todaaaaayyyyyyyy!!!!
